Wilshire Lobby
At the base of a 7 story mid-rise office building in the central business district of Beverly Hills, this fishbowl lobby admits customer and clients to a 1961 urban space where we transformed a decaying luminous suspended ceiling into a hovering contoured chip of the earth intended to heighten one's awareness. The design solution includes use of ochre color gypsum pigment in the control jointed plaster, concealed dual lamp fluorescent light fixtures, and sleeving the existing bronze anodized aluminum storefront with stainless steel sheet metal.
Circa 1994
